Geocaching Booklet Cover Design Contest Winner!
A winner was chosen for the FCB geocache pamphlet design contest.  The judges were Anne Reid from the Chamber of Commerce, Neil Carbone from the municipality and our very own Sharon Schinke!  Very interesting points and comments were made about the entries, but the winning design, submitted by Kaitlyn and Jenna Poirier features a cartoon Squirrel holding a GPS and tracking down his ‘cache’ of nuts.  Our next step will be to finalize the permanent cache locations, and then begin setting them up in late summer/early fall.  The pamphlet will also start to take shape during the fall.
New Entrance Sign
The grade 11 traditional technology class has made a new timber frame sign for the entrance to Cedar Bay.  The old sign was very old and starting to rot away.  A partnership between Queen Elizabeth District High School and the department of community services has created this new addition to the facility.  The students did an incredible job.
